What do you guys think is more fun playing or watching basketball? I find that I can only watch the fourth quarter of an important game without quickly loosing interest. I love the sport and would play all the time if i could, but watching the pros and college and even at a high school level i get bored. Does an one else feel like this. I feel less accepted in the sports world and with my friends because I don't care enough about college basketball to make a bracket or talk about the playoffs and the top players and teams. Don't get me wrong I know the stars but the finer details seem to elude me.

I would prefer playing than watching...because you get to feel the game more than watching...everytime I watch a basketball game makes me want to grab the ball and play...

i do watch the games but its still nicer to play the game with friends it much more enjoyable. but i do still enjoy watching the games i watch the whole game but alot of times i change channel if it gets boring and just switch back to see if the games get exciting so sometimes i just watch the summary they show at btv or cnn or some oother basketball channel

ofcourse its better when you play it. you get to experience whats happening inside the court. when you watch a game, it looks very easy and no pressure but once you play, you get all the pressure and fun. its cool. i dont like watching bball in tvs though. better to watch it live.

I'm terrible at basketball, but I am pretty much obsessed with watching and being around the sport. This is my favorite time of year because of the NCAA tournament.

Yeah, most definately, I rather be out there than just spectating. It's like when you're waiting for your turn on a pick-up game. You can't wait to get out there then when you lose, or somebody on the team that's been out there loses, they don't stick around. They bounce. As far as watching college ball on tv, it would hype me up so much, that I couldn't wait for the following morning to go ball myself. I'm pretty sure that I could have learned more from watching the game, and being a student when I was younger, but I didn't. Now, I'm 32, and not willing to go to church just to play in the church league. However, when I did play I would pick up things that helped my own game. For instance, how Antoine Walker used to skip his feet moving around on offense without the ball. Or how Rip moves around without the ball. Today, if I played I notice how Pierce keeps his arms up, as well as other players, in anticpation of a rebound. I used to love this game. Everyday trying and hoping that there be enough cats at the court for a 5 on 5 full court. Forgot that half-court. I used to like to get out and run even if it was just 2 on 2. Call me crazy, possessed.
