Whats the best book you ever read i would like to start reading??

Hello i would love to start reading as i have been told it relax's your mind when you are stressed. To date i have only read one good story i think, havent been able to find a decent book, whats your favourite book what would you recommend and why? i prefer tru to life stories...let me know plaese so i can start reading thanks..x
