I don't listen to music but since I have a learning disorder I to tend to turn things into a song to help me remember them.

Well, many times you can find me listening to Music. I find it sometimes to be relaxing and helps me to be able to concentrate more on what I need to be doing. One thing I sometimes like to listen too is like slow songs that are happy and upbeat but not too loud to distract from the task at hand.

i can't, i need total silence too. i will not understand a bit of my lessons if there is music playing, i will just end up listening to the music and forget about studying. :-)

I do.
In fact I can do better when there is a music playing.
Music can protect me from the noise outside.

It is dependent. If I *really* have to concentrate on something, like cramming for a final. I absolutely cannot listen, I have to have silence.
But if I am being an uber student and studying beforehand and not procrastinating, I can listen to music. It's a stress thing, I suppose.
More incentive to be a good student so that I can listen to music while I study/write papers!!!
