How do I get the "negative photograph" look off my computer?

My kid did something right in front of me yesterday, while using my computer, but I cannot figure out what she did and now all the pictures and background look like x-ray pictures! I went to preferences, displays, and anything else that might be able to change it back, even restarting the computer, but nothing changed it back to the way it was! It is a mac mini. While I find it interesting to look at my face as if it was an x-ray, and other pictures too, it is annoying that I do not know how to change it back! I know she did not go into system preferences to do it, all I saw was that maybe she right-clicked the mouse or something like that. It happened so quickly and I could not believe that she could do that while I was sitting there next to her! She is too young to understand what happened, or to tell me which button she pushed right before it happened. What can I do?

Hello Olivemai, I have never used a mac so your best move is as good as mine. I was just curious about the x-ray effect, does it appear like a negative film wherein the black appears white and vise versa or its just in black and white image. If its the later then maybe check your video color management settings or something.
If you fix this, can you please post what happened and how you were able to remedy it.
