do you send your photo first when you meet someone on the web?

I try to make friends on the web. But it is strange that when I begin to talk with him or even before. They usually want a photo of mine and said we can't continue our communication without my photo. But in fact I don't mind if he or she gives me his or her photo or not. I just think that to make friends with others is not necessary to show photos first. communicating with each other by hearts doesn't depend on what others looks like. after all, we are just friends in the virtual space. I support that we should talk first and then send photos each other after gaining reliance. what do you think of my point of view? do you agree with me? Thanks!

yes i agree with you.i don't think photo is so important that without it we can't keep communicating with each other.thus i never sent photos to strangers on internet. if someone asks me to send photo first,i just neglect him and won't talk him in future.except that we are enough familiar with each other,i'm willing t send my photo to him.
