I am guilty!

A lot of times, when we are asked to fill out info sheet in registering for a site like myLot, we need to click on the box to say we have agreed to the company or site's Terms and Agreement. But often times, in a hurry and since all these T & A are long, I just click on it and knowing to be careful not to violate anything. I am so guilty of not reading the TERMS everytime I register or sign up. I have given notice and thought of this when a lot of topics about members violating some of myLot's rulings and their earnings affected. This made me think twice now to read if not scan the TERMS. So how many of us are guilty of this?

I can't remember the last time I've read the terms of any site really. They all are so similar, if you obey the rules of one site, your probably obeying the rules of every site you go to, or just breaking a few small rules that no one really pays attention to anyways.

I also cant remember reading the Terms really. Yes all seems to sound and say the same thing and as I say to myself that I dont break as much rules, it'll be ok. But that I have found not much to be true here in myLot as many members have overlooked at some important rules stated in the Terms.

I agree with you that you can never be too careful nowadays as most company have taken the time and considered as much in writing and placing those TERMS before and agreement is made.

well,I have only ONCE read all those agreements.................and lol..........it was so technically written and ofcourse it was very long ago.........but since then I have never read it !............but I know what they may have written so long......its as simple as
"dont copy our product.if there is any damage due to our product you are solely responsible".............
atleast thats what I have thought till now.......but if its something more serious than this, please pardon my ignorance and kindly tell me about it.
Cheers ! Have a nice and rocking day.

Those Terms indeed are written in a very legal way and are way often times long. But some rules are written in the TERMS which one cannot just ignore. You may want to look again at the TERMs of myLot to see so many rules that you might discover.

I hardly ever even attempt to read the Terms, they're so long and seem all the same.

Well, that was my attitude before also. But now I think I will be more cautious about it.

yes there are times that I do it too but I really do try not to, you could practically sign your life away.
I try to do it most of the time.

I usually do read the terms actualle. I want to know what rights I may be siging away before I join. I may not always read themm carefully like something I am trying to learn by heart, but I always look through them, reading some parts more carefully than others.

I have to be honest and tell you I don't read them either when I am signing up. But I do read them after I have been a member for about a week just to make sure it is a site I want to work. I did this with mylot but with mylot I forgot about the site for over a month before I worked it. The only reason I remembered I signed up to it is because I saw a banner on another site and it reminded me. So I then worked the site for a week or two and then checked out all of the links.
I belong to another site that I never ever read them and after I reached the payout amount of $25, which took me over a year, I requested my money and it said I had to earn the same amount in trial offers before I can cash it out. So I actual needed to earn $50 before I could cash it out and I had to earn $25 of it doing trial offers, which cost money to do. It was my own fault that I didn't know this and I worked the site for over a year, because I didn't read the guidelines and terms and agreements. I hope I have learned my lesson and I better read them all from now on.
