I have been thinking alot about having another child, I am getting married in a few months, and alreayd have a 5 year old. I am white, my son is white and my fiance is brown, so I am very very for interratial marriages. I have been seeing alot of discussions about how epople think it is wrong to adopt children from different races? WHY??? you tell me why? or tell me why it is fine. My fiance and I plan on having at least one child biologically but we really want to help another needy child.
It makes me absolutly sick that so many poeple are objecting to interracial adoptions

I don't understand why people object to interracial adoptions or marriages. God created all of us no matter what creed or color. He is so mindful of us. Ignore the comments from others and do what God has commisioned you to do. God Bless

I don't personally have a problem with it. I think the only "problems" are ethical, like how will the child feel, will there be problems once the child goes to school with bullying because of being a different race from the rest of your family. That's not my personal opinion but I think that's the kind of thing which puts people off. I do think it is better to adopt someone of your own race in some ways but then if your family is already interracial, it would be different.

I am very fortunate to live in a city, province and even country that has all different races, so I am hoping that my community could handle this well

You go right ahead and adopt that child. I think it is great that you can open your doors to a needy child. Who cares where the child comes from. The point is there is a child in need of a home and you are willing to take them in. I wish I could adopt a child, currently finances for us are not enough to be able to. I commend you for adopting a child.
Dont worry about what others think. As long as there is LOVE in your hearts that is all that matters.

All for it...inter-racial, inter-national, inter-whatever. What is so bad about adopting another human child? Is a child of another nation, another race, not a human? Doesn't it deserve a family? The question to ask ones self is whether the colour or nationality of a child would affect the way you love the child. If not, then I believe there isn't anything wrong in interracial adoptions

what nationality is your fiance? I don't think it's wrong to adopt interracially. When you think about it, look at our society now. We are an ever melting pot of cultures because so many people are in interracial relationships, and their children are uniquely mixed. I think it's nonsense that people make a big stink about adopting abroad or adopting different races. When people adopt interracially I think it shows that they don't care what color skin the child has, they want to give it a good home, and that's all that should matter. I think adopting a child from third world countries that are really impoverished is even better because then that child won't suffer in the long run. You do what your heart tells you and don't worry about what other people think, so what...you are the better person thinking that way...Good Luck to you.

Well I know that the argument tends to be that a person of a different race wouldn't be able to expose the child to their country. My kids are all mixed (my husband is black and I am white) and they have been exposed to all different cultures most of which have nothing to do with their heritage. I find that if you don't mind the difference they won't either.

I think it's great that you'd like to adopt a child regardless of what background they come from. My boyfriend was adopted from Korea when he was a little boy and both of his parents are caucasian, he's very happy. People will always be against the things that other people do, you just have to try to not let it bother you.

People are PEOPLE NOT colors! How sad! I am married to a white man and am white myself with two white kids, if were to ever adopt I don't care what color child I received! A child is a child and a person is a person no matter what color their skin is. People need to accept all this. There is so much racial tension in this world is makes me sick as well!

Pay absolutely no attention to ignorant people and adopt whoever you want. All children need loving parents; and from what I've seen here, you are a very loving and caring person. Go for it!

Absolutely adopt whoever you want. Families do not have to "match", love is love. Forget what other people think, they need to get out of their holes.

This has got to be the most
ridiculous and sad FAD I've
ever seen. With so many children
here in this country needing
good homes, it should be illegal
to "buy" a child from abroad.
I have a funny feeling it has
something to do with these people
reading about the Cabala in the Zohar
or possibly those idiots who follow
Scientology. Which by the way was
created by a failed science fiction writer.

Now as far as Interracial
adoption is concerned that's
a wonderful idea as long as
the child is from the country
in which you live.
