Come on people, you don't want Vista? If i have a powerful PC I would definitely use Vista, my PC is not just up for it so I'm stuck with XP. Vista offers better visual interface, better security in short better experience than XP. Program incompatibilities is just a matter of time, in fact in a manner of speaking it already did, just like when XP it was just new.

I think the layout of Vista is more modern than XP, and it has a lot of security tools, but it uses way too much RAM. Ever since I installed vista on my computer there have been so many problems (which is why I switched to a mac). The idea of the security features is great, however it blocks everything I try to do. It won't let me connect to my home network and it slowed down my computer a lot. If I had to choose, I would pick XP over Vista.

I Like Vista and my laptop has no trouble runing it ( my laptop is a dell vostro 1000, 1GB of ram, 80gb hard drive and 2.0GHz AMD Processor )On my computer when i first bought it, it used about 567mb of ram, then when i tweak it ( myself ) it droped to about 340mb of ram but when i updated it to Vista SP1 ( Service Pack 1 ) it went to 240mb so i was pleased.
If people are ganna buy or upgrade to vista make sure your computer has:
At least
1GB RAM
40GB Hard Drive
1.8GHz Processor
or more
I Was Ganna downgrade it to xp but xp is now old and ive got bored of it with its old theme's and boring taskbar and start menu. So i stayed with Vista because it works perfectly on my computer.
if anyone has any problems or anything with vista just email me : huttch@hotmail.co.uk

The two biggest problems with Vista right now is compatibility issues, and resources. This OS uses alot of resources, ie RAM. If you don't have 2GB of RAM or more, this OS is going to be a little slow. Service pack 1 was supposed to take care of some of these issues, but it doesn't seem like it has helped much. Once they get these figured out, it will be a better OS. The good thing about it is that it is more secure than XP.

I havent used vista too but i dont want to use it ....i use winXP pro and i really like it....the reason i dont like vista is that i have heard that there are lot of flaws in vista which need to be fixed and then there will be few supporting softwares for vista than winXP which is the other reason for me not using vista....

Hello, Minkx8.
No, I do not really like Windows Vista. I have never used it for too long. The visual is very nice, it has many new features, but I believe that it makes the computer slowly. I'd rather keep with Windows XP. They say Windows Vista leaves your computer really vulnerable, with many ports open for the hackers to get in.
So, I am fine with my Windows XP. Simple, easy to use, and I'm used to it.
Respectfully,
Munhozmib.

I use Windows XP at work and I have Windows Vista at home. Frankly I like both of them, the thing is though I have only used Vista for about 4 months and I still only know the basics, I am much more familiar with XP, but over time I think I will get to know Vista well enough to be able to use most of what it has to offer.

I dunno like windows vista because most of the games are not compatible with the windows vista...secondly vista is slower than the windows xp...although vista's look is better than the xp,xp is more compatible, reliable and fast...so i wud always preffer windows xp over the windows vista.
