What do you think about home exchange? Do you think it works? Are you open to give your own house to a foreigner? have you never experienced it?

I think it would be an awesome idea. I wouldn't mind someone being in my house if I were in their house.
I have a friend online who lives in Ireland and I think it would be fun to exchange homes with her for a week. Just to experience the different cultures.
I live in Western NY and not really much around here. I am close to Chautauqua Lake, but that's it. I don't know if anyone would be interested in exchanging with me.

I would love to go to Italy! My father came to the US as a baby from Italy. My Nana didn't even speak English.

It's convenient cause you don't have to rent or pay for a house/hotel. Plus you get the benefits of stuff you ca only find in homes like kitchen utensils ^^
But I don't think I'm open to the idea (not yet) I'm afraid with the mountain of consequences that could happen

No theres no way I could do it! I am far too fussy about my "stuff" and personal space to have a family take it over while I'm elsewhere..That would just freak me out I think LOL

Hello there, I haven’t tried home exchange yet. But I have heard about it as one of my friends and her hubby like to do so. They have provided me lots of information and the website about it. From their experience, it is worth of changing as it not only save the money on travel expenses, but also more cosy as there will be a kitchen available.
