In my job I have to deal with a lot of customers. Ones that are grumpy, demanding and bossy. I usually try and stay calm, cool and collect but some days that is hard to do. Seriously we are there just doing our job and most times we are not the person they are angry with but since we answer the phone we are the ones that get dumped on by the customer. I even had one the other day that was using foul language to me. In my opinion there should be a law against GRUMPY people getting on the phone! :-) Does anyone else agree? Maybe because I know what its like to be on both sides of the situation I am always courteous to the person I am calling. What i want to know is how do you deal with customers that get on your nerves?

Actually, I feel that one has to keep his nerves whatever be the situation. You should not lose out on the temper at all. Just try to deal with the customer within professional limits. Tell him/her once that you are crossing the limits. Some will definitely realise. For others just dont care about them and tell them that you are hangin because of his/her inapt behavior.
