bulimia nervosa

Why people with bulimia nervosa need to purge? Did they control their diet because they feel lack control over all other aspects of their lives?

Bulimia and other eating disorders are extremely complex. The cause of eating disorders is felling a lack of control in their lives, and usually intensified by an extreme fear of being "fat" and over-selfconciousness. Some of my close friends and I have struggled with eating disorders.
