What keeps a relationship fresh and new?

I am wanting to know what kinds of things couples do to keep their relationship fresh and new?
For example my husband and I go out on date nights, where we get ready for each other, he picks me up from my mom's the whole nine yards plus.

Your date night sounds great, but my husband would think I lost it if I had him pick me up at my folks! The most important thing to a relationship for me is trust too. I am glad someone else feels that way.
