First off, just gotta say after being away for 8 months, it's good to be back. With school and jobs and all - it's hard to keep up sometimes.
So after President Bush passed the new stimulus package - more than 100 million Americans will get a bonus tax rebate check somewhere between $300-$1200 due to our possible recession'ed economy.
Will you spend your check and "improve" the economy?
Save it?
Put it towards education?
Pay off bills?
Inquiring minds want to know!
(I won't be getting one for the record. I'm still a student and only made $2,800 in 2007 - 200 DOLLARS SHORT to get the check!!)

i'm paying bills, and i'm betting a lot of people will.i still have a totally obnoxious winter oil bill to pay.it just about kills us in the northeast, and that's with it being no higher than 60 degrees.

I originally said that I will put it away. I really want to, but there is a potential bill that won't be paid by my check and it's nagging the heck out of me and I have to deal with it. I believe in every person especially a woman on her own to have a stash of her own(some of you may say "nest egg" ,"mad money" whatever) and I will have to do something soon. I also want to start a Medical Transcriptionist online course so I can have another stream of income in a couple of months so I will pay for the first installment with that money. But deep down I wish I could save it.

Sorry for you that you were twohundred dollars short. I will get three hundred as I made three thousand and four hundred dollars last year. I intend to splurge a bit when I get it.
