Marius Mihai Lacatus (born on the 5th of April 1964) is a former Romanian football player, who played for most of his career for Steaua Bucharest.
He won the national championship with Steaua 10 times, the only Romanian player with so many titles. Lacatus has been playing for Steaua from 1983, when he was only 19. In 1986 he won The European Champions Cup alongside his team mates from Steaua, and in 1987 he won The European Supercup. In 1990 he left to play in Italy, for Fiorentina, then in Spain, for Oviedo. After a few years he came back to Steaua, ending his footballer career at F.C.National Bucharest. He remains a symbol of Steaua, being the most loved player by the team's fans.
The most important goal of his career is the one scored in the European Champions Cup final from 1986, between Steaua and FC Barcelona, when Lacatus scored the first penalty kick of the two that brought the trophy to Steaua.
From October the 28th 2007 he's managing FC Steaua Bucharest.
