What do you do when you face the world alone,without anyone to turn to?

There are times in our life when we have to leave places that we're so familiar with,and along with that ,leave our dearest friends,into a totally new place.And going to college is one of those times.What if you can't make friends there?I mean true friends.Seems like I'm one of those guys who can't find the kind of friends that I had imagined to make,the kind of friendship that I'd loved and enjoyed all my pre-college times.Now that I'm in a strange city,and around me are people from different places,we just don't have anything in common,and everyone cares only about themselves.It's really the hardest time that I'm going through.Do I keep contacting frequently,or just neglect the lonely part and move on bitterly?

You shud definetely try n make frenz new frendz in your college too and wherever you go, you cant go on being lonely in a new place, Try knoing them talking to them and spend time with ppl whom you think cud b nice frendz....Dont worry you'll just get along this fi9...i say best of luck 2 you...

You'll have to wait for sometime before you can gain really good friends. I already spent two years in college before I gained true friends. Your chance will come, don't worry. Just keep and open outlook and be nice to people. Smile!

To be honest.When i was a freshman last year.I felt the way as you did. I found that people here are cool.they don't like to talk.they just think about themselves.I was sad .BEcause i couldn't make a good friend here.But as time passed by,i knew i was wrong,the promble was on me, I was afraid ,because i am not familiar here,so i just turned down them.SO i tried to get to know others i tried to talk to them,then i built our relationship.So maybe you should tried to be open up and try to talk to others and get to know them.Things will change.GOOD LUCK
