why does an Indian / Asian students prefer to have an US Degree, rather than to have the degree from their respective country ?
Does the value of that US degree is more than their own country ?
Its a very big question for us.

I think it depends on the kind of course that one studies. If it has something to do with political, sociological or historical study of India then India is much better than US. And I would be surprised to find Indian going abroad to study of such kind. However, theoretical physics or computer programming may be better outside. So I think it depends on what we study.
But when it comes to working I would definitely prefer to work in India. I find it quite distressing when people in, say IIT, finish their study at the expense of state's exchequer and then flies over to US to make a living and thus make the rich richer and leave India poorer... I think India needs educated Indian than US.
