Do you always been the LAST BENCHER in your CLASS???

LOL..this is a good discussion Mnsrwt! It depends what grade i was in..when i was younger and new to school, I would love to sit as close to the front to be away from the troublemakers..when i got older, it was cool to be in the back cause that was where all the fun was!

I prefer being in the first bench. I avoid at all cost to sit in the back because I won't be able to see what the teacher is writing on the blackboard. I also avoid to be late because when I am, everyone is just looking me and giving me the evil eye like i am disturbing or something lol. And I know sitting at the front, you can't fall alseep and must pay attention to the teacher.

HEck I always set where I could and sometimes in front sometimes in the middle never the last seat.

Hello! I used to sit near the first chair in my school. It is better to understand the lesson, since the teachers usually explain for those who are in front of them. However, I also like to sit back, in one of the last chairs. It is a more relaxed place. It only sucks when everybody around you starts to talk while you want to pay attention. Nevertheless, the place where you sit doesn't affect much your performance at school. This thing that the "back students" are the worst is not true at all. You can always be a good student, no matter where you sit. Respectfully, Munhozmib.

We don't usually have benches in school over here, so I've never heard this term before. Being late to class is something I never liked, it can be awkward to try to explain why you're not there on time :).

nopes i ws not a last bencher whole of my school life but.... in my college i m....

when i was young i loved to be the last bencher coz i was too shy at that time...lol...but as time went by, i would always choose the first...don't know why...just feeling that it'll be much clearer to hear the teachers' speaking and i'll pay more attention on my class...

I will always wanna to be the last bencher but always din get the chance when i was in primary school, as i was very short, i was forced to sit right in front of the class.. LOL ^_^ However when i got into secondary school, i have the freedom to choose and i was in the middle bench but also the last bench too because my class has got only 18 students at that time.. LOL.. As i got to poly or college, i will definitely be the last bencher as i'm always late.. However, this time round, our lectures is in a lecture hall, so there are at least hundred ple or so.. LOL

When i was study in elementary school and middle school.Our seat is fixed so i don't have to choice where to sit.I am short so i always sit in the front of the classroom.but when i enter into university i prefer to sit near the last bencher. Our teacher had said that it is more easy for people to fix the attention.always the people sit on the back or near the window are easier for them to think something else not listenning to the class.the could use mobilephone to send message or even make phone.the could read some book else.maybe the novel.They think theacher will hard to notice them.at first i don't agree with the view,beacuse i think that if one want to learn it is no mater where she/he sit.but now i agree with the opinion.now i am a underuniversity,most of the time i sit back,i don't feel much interesting in the class i will use the time to read my own book borrow in library which i fond of .i think it is not genty to sit at the first sit not listening the class i think.now i like the last bencher.

I rather have my seat near the lecturer so that i can hear and see her clearly and so i can understand the lesson.I also rather sit near the door so I can run when the class becomes such a bore that I rather go home and read the book my self

Hands up. I would also raise my feet if needed. I always chose the last row in the class. I did it not because I didn't have interest in studying, but because the class was small and I think if I took the front seat, my eyes couldn't stand the board. LOL. Not to mention that back then we sometimes still used chalk boards and I just wanted to avoid any 'pollution' when they erased the board. I think by sitting on the last row, the back seat, I would be able to get better view towards the whole class. I could see the teacher, the board, and the students better than any other row I could choose. And sometimes, the sight was quite 'entertaining', you know, hehehe, especially when we talked about certain students that sat in the middle or even at the front row but still dared to sleep during the lesson or to cheat during the tests. If only you saw how they cheated back then, what a technique of cheating for tests / exams.

I agree with you.I also prefer to be a LAST BENCHER.I feel there is very freedom and nobody will disturb you.I always to be a LAST BENCHER in the middle school though the teacher don't like me to do that.But I don't care of him.I think it's very comfortable so I needn't care of others. Now,though I'm in the college I still prefer to be a LAST BENCHER.But I always have a good mark.So I think there is no wrong with this manner.

jejejeje jajajaja you this is funny, this discussion, beacause...................... I was................a last bencher too. I wasn't a bad student but I was sitting at the back close to bad student. Oh man that was fun. I used to do so many funny stuff with those bad guys and never got caught. That was because I was a good student but the sense of learn and enjoy(do funny stuff to others) my class. You know if you are good your teacher never is going to think you did something wrong in class, only if he see you, That's what you have to avoid. If I tell you how many stuff I did, I won't finish now. But let me tell you, Thank you for making me remember about my good times at school. Oh man....good times, good times.

ya manish i am also love to seat in last bench it is my favoirte seat so many students are like front seat but i am only comfortable in last bench some student who have reached late in class have to be seat in last bench but when i am come earlier in the class whete too i am seat only in last beanch.

I always had bad eye sight so I preferred to be in the front rows myself, even in university.

I am not sure what that means, actually. Unless you are talking about for sport games. For sports where teams were picked by a captain, I was not usually last, but rarely one of the firsts either.

Yes, I often sat the last bench. In the high school our seats were arranged by teacher. I liked to sit in the last bench as I thought teacher would seldom pay attention to me In the college due to my friend liked to sit in the front bench because she was near-sighted. And therefore I had to sit in front bench but I didn't like it. I didn't get used to be so close to the teacher because I was afraid of being questioned

On the countary,I like to sit the front of the classroom,but not facing the teacher directly.Because my hearing is not very good,so if I sit on the last bench I will not get what the teacher is saying sometimes.However,I will feel uncomfortable and nervious when I face the teacher directly.

interesting topic!to me,I want to be the last bencher only when the class is unattractive to me.But you know sometimes it is embarrassed to our teachers when the first three rows are empty,I also remeber one time that we are forced to move ahead,some teachers even take measures like this:when they need someone to answer the question,he will call from the last row,it is really an effective measure!From then on,all the students go to the classroom as early as possible to get a seat in the middle! Funny!
