I looked online though and found a homemade version that was just as good. It's brown sugar, white sugar and water boiled together, then you add corn syrup, vanilla and maple flavoring. Very easy. Has anyone done this before and do you know if it's safe to store this at room tempurature since it has no preservatives?

I've never used that recipe, but it sounds good and easy. What I do if I run out of syrup is mix some jam with a bit of butter in a cup, microwave it for a minute and then pour that over the pancakes. Its like using a fruit syrup.

Hi jbrowsin
Wow that sure sounds sweet..i could just see my grandaughter climbing the walls now LOL
When we run out we just use jam or jelly so i've never used anything like this...I presume since its like Honey and molasses you can store it the same way.
Good Luck!
