I have just read Merlin's Kin by Everett Coles I bought it off Amazon where someone said it was more adult than Harry Potter but less serious than The Amber Spyglass and I loved it.Imagine entering Camelot now and meeting people and creatures from legend, the descendants of King Arthurs knights, unicorns, telepathic birds strong enough to carry you places and of course an evil villain named Calupsis.
Even with the help of a race of Yeti called harrimen the heros found things difficult.
I think anyone from 10 or so up could really enjoy this especially if they are looking for someone to replace Potter.

MINISTRY OF FEAR, BY Graham Green. For a novel set in the gloomy days of London bombings during WWII it has surpisely simple straight forward and charming main character of Stephen . the plot is tight and Mr. Greene never wastes words. One of his best and most highly enjoyable.

I really dont have a favourite book. I have favourite authors! Really I love almost everything by Johanna Lindsey, Diana Palmer, Gaelen Foley, & Stacey Kayne (new author). There are probably more but those ones there, I buy their books without even reading the back.
