Over here....in good ole Godzone..(Aotearoa)
My 11 year old son has been bullied to the max.
Whilst we have emailed, rung and talked personally to our local school offices...the bullying...still goes on.
For about the last 18 months this has gone on, and to date NOTHING has been done regard to ANY complaint that we have laid.
That said, my son this week reached what I would call breaking point... and threatened a kid with a knife.
Its fair to say that my son DID NOT have a knife on him or in his bag at the time..however , because he made the actual threat he has since been "exiled" from his class, his friends, the school bus and any other social actitivity that he was involved in.
My partner (my kids Mum) has s.a.d (social anxiety disorder)and my son has had to deal with this as well as watching his grandmother "vanish" as dementia takes its toll on her.
As stated above.. this bullying has gone on for about 18 months... nothing has been done despite NUMEROUS complaints...yet the minute MY son says ONE little thing...WHAMMO!
Am I wrong in fighting the "system"? Am i wrong in standing up for an 11 year old who really only wants to live his life to the max?
Or should I keep feeding it to his principal like never before?
All I want is for my son, and his younger sister and brother to grow and learn to think freely and independently, yet it would seem that todays "pc" world is about to interfere with such an upbringing.

This seems to be a little more than just kids playing around ... if this keeps going things could go really wrong. Have you ever considered moving you boy to another school?
