I can't ever imagine wanting to do nothing. I am always occupied, even if I need to spend time thinking, I find it is best done while I am out walking. I may feel lazy sometimes but I'm never idle. There is never a time when I have nothing to do or when I feel bored.

when you become a mom you don't get to do nothing much. i would like to do nothing for once if i could only get away for a while. i'd like to sleep off my free time. it's not really an ordeal when faced with this kind of a situation.

If you are doing nothing, then surely by virtue of doing nothing you are doing something?! I only say this because my first thoughts in answer to Ani's question was "yes, recently - I was really sick with yet another infection & just felt like doing nothing". So I did try to do nothing. No mean feat for someone who doesn't know the meaning of relaxation or doing things steadily! But although I FELT as 'tho I were doing nothing, I was actually sat in the lounge just watching the world go by ... so I WAS doing something. I got very bored after half an hour and went off to find something constructive to do! Now I've completely confused myself *he he*

Who really has the time to do nothing? It sounds nice. But then you have to play catch up with work. Or household chores. And if you have a child, it can't be done. Or else it can lead to disaster. Closest I can come is a short nap on a rare occasion.
