For me,Big Salary!
I know there are a lot of others words to describe a lawyer,such as greedy,selfish,etc,etc.It seems that most of these words are negative.This makes me wonder:Are the lawyers really that bad?
I think we maybe misled by movies or TV shows.As far as I know,most of the lawyers are quite hard working,and they are smart,and deligence.
So,what do you think about lawyers? Do you think we maybe wrong whenever we talk about that career?

I could be quite partial on this subject because my sister is a lawyer. But greed, selfishness, big money, none of these things come to mind when I think of her...
In fact, quite the opposite, she took a lower paying job, closer to her home, so she could spend more time with her son. She doesn't get paid near what she could, but being able to spend a few more hours with him everyday more than makes up for that, as far as she's concerned.
So not all lawyers are slime...

naw, I agree with Bill Shakespear, and my wife wants to become one... LOL. But seriously, good for your sister, cudos to her. Just goes to show you that there are still a few ppl that do go into the profession because of a love of the Law and Justice.

Well, John Milton said in his "Divine Comedy" that there's a special place in Hell reserved for Lawyers.
Bill Shakespear said, "The first thing we must needs do is to kill all the attorneys". Henry II, Act II, Scene III.
Guess that Lawyers have appearantly always had a less than stellar reputation, going back hundreds of yrs. at least.

Just saw a movie"The Devil's Advocate",really scared me so!
Lawyers couldn't be that bad.Actually,I think this kind of movie really ruin that career!
