I think the parents know that their baby isn't the cutest thing in the world. When I had my son, my mom told me so many times that he was beautiful. And of course I thought so too, but I wasn's sure either if it was because he was mine, or because he really was beautiful. But then I got to thinking about my little sister when she was born. She was so ugly! So I asked my mom if she thought Jordan, my sister, was cute when she was born, and she said no way. She said she felt sorry for Jordan because I was so cute and pretty and she wasn't the cutest thing. So I think deep down, the parent knows their baby isn't cute. But what can they do at that point? Just hope that eventually the baby will grow out of it!

That's a good question, Karbear because I've seen some not-so-cute babies and the parents seem to be oblivious, not that they'd be like, "Hey! Meet our ugly baby!" No. They all say, "Isn't he precious and cute and gorgeous and beautiful and brilliant and a genius?!?!?!?!" (I'd never say they weren't though!)

I think all children are beautiful. Even when they are pink and wrinkly and look like dried prunes colured in with red texta after just being born. Maybe thats just my cluckiness talking. Well, I think my son is beautiful but I'll post a pic and you tell me if he isnt gorgeous:D Have you got children?
