Is Good Luck or Bad Luck for Real?

In talking to a friend about our circumstances, she responded "I've never seen anybody with such bad luck." We are experiencing a series of unfortunate events but are trying to deal with them and move on, but I wonder sometimes.

All i know is usually after things get though, they get a little better. Whether its luck or not, i dont really know. But things will improve for you you just need to keep the faith and persevere ! What was the series of events ?

Well, its started almost 5 years ago, we made a move that we strongly thought it was going to improve our life and since then, my husband's job situation has been very unsettling. We lost everything at one point and now although we still feel that we have made the right move, we have to rethink what we are doing in order to stay here.

Its easy to talk about things getting better. You guys lost everything before and you got through it. I admire that because i`ve been homeless through no fault of my own, and my partner and i became very close despite not having anything. Just keep talking to eachother and hope for the future. I think you`ll be ok. You keep persevering, ok ? (Excuse my spelling please, I dont think mylot has a built in spel checker !!)

no...i mean i have never really had all of those big birthday parties or anything like that because i am not really into all of that stuff...i mean i guess i could have had one or whatever but i really don't like any of that stuff and to me it is just a waste of money because the money you use on that could be used for something importnat but whenever i have children of my own i would rather give them birthday parties if they wanted them...i mean i guess its good to give kids bday parties but again i've never been into them really!

I sometimes think that there is something true about luck, we always seem to have bad luck for ages and then it will change and good things will happen never more good than bad though I have to say! But I always say that I think I was born under a bad luck cloud.

I believe that with most of life we have the power to change (especially our circumstances) and the choices that we make all have consequences, good and bad. But, when you are moving along, doing the best you can and then you get hit with major obsticles that cause you to have to rethink what you are doing, and work harder at your goal, you have to ask yourself, "what's going on?"
