stop my dog from barking

I just recently moved into an apartment and took my dog and i cant get her to stop barking at every little thing. we have people that live upstairs and everytime they walk she barks well really anytime something makes a noise. if someone has some advice please share cuz if i cant get her to stop im gonna have to get rid of her cuz it was like pulling teeth to bring her here in the first place.

shes just getting used to things. I would give her about a week to settle down. you could also scream NO at her when she barks at things shes not supposed to and hopefully she will obey and it will help cut down on alot of the noise. and when she stops barking when you tell her no you can reward her by rubbing her or giving her a treat. hope this helps.

Hi heidi, she's probably still adjusting to her new home. Try strolling her more often. The idea here is to use up(somewhat drain) her energy and build that special bonding between you, your pet and the community.

i don't know exactly they have those collars but i don't know if i would want to do that or not because i don't know if that would hurt the dog or not i know that they say that it doesn't...but you could try and take your dog around and show it different things and maybe she would become more familiar to what sounds were and then you could try just letting her get use to the sounds and maybe she wouldn't be so bad then....
