Ofcourse yoga can help you losse weight and infact, besides doing yoga, you can practice few mudra's also that are very much beneficial in helping one reduce weight/fat... try doing Surya Mudra and Agni Mudra...you can know about them here and how this helps reduce weight..give it a try, it's very easy to practice..and you can practice Kapal Bhati pranayam, it is also very helpful... http://fitnessfundaa.blogspot.com/2008/09/important-mudras.html for Surya Mudra and http://fitnessfundaa.blogspot.com/2008/08/kapal-bhati.html for Kapal Bhati Pranayam

I cannot begin to tell you how much yoga can help you. I started doing it a few months ago as just a way to keep fit, but I admit I have slimmed up and toned my muscles. My boyfriend can't keep his hands off me HAHA. He said it slimmed my thighs and buns. It also helps tone your core muscles(abs). I love it. And it doesn't take too much, If you can't fully do a move, you can modify it as far as you can go.
