Hi all, Well I have seen a lot of questions of people that ask how to start earning money online. So I was thinking why not write a nice discussion about this. I will first tell you a small bit about me then I will give you some advice ;). NOTE: Dear myLot staff all links in this discussion do NOT contain any referral ids. So who am I? I myself am a information engineer and have been trying to make money online since I first got internet ;) (about 6 years I guess). As of the current day I sell some scripts on ebay and earn ... a nice amount on the internet. At the moment my incomes aren't that high because I am in the process of developing some new scripts but still I earn some ;). HOW TO START Well first things first. If you want to make some money online be sure to do something you like. Create a list of things you like to do and write down how much money you have to start (if you got none or don't want to invest NO PROBLEM). As an example i will write down what I like: - Programming (Web / Applications) - Testing / Promotion products - Writing reviews - Playing Games. Starting amount: $0.72 (this is what i had left in my paypal account ;)) WHAT CAN I DO Well I like writing web programs so lets check our friend (Google) http://www.google.com to see who is selling what. As I can see on google all sorts of PHP / MySQL scripts will do so that good. As for testing / promotion products I could do some reselling of products (affiliate marketing). Hmm difficult how can I make money writing reviews. Well I could test other scripts as a bit of a service to other customers (maybe even resell the scripts). Playing games. Well I could play games write reviews about that and put some google ads and stuff next to the or link to the game itself to resell it. I will start selling scripts and later on review other scripts and resell them. WHAT DO I NEED Well I need some stuff to sell so how am I going to do this. I can program the scripts myself so first I started to program a nice paid to click script. (currently not available if anyone is wondering because I am reworking my scripts). I need a website to promote my products. I need some cash to start my website. FIRST THINGS FIRST I first program some nice scripts to sell this is important because I don't want to host a website telling people I will someday sell them something ;). But in the mean while I could earn some cash with clicking some links and stuff. (Paid to click programs). Some links for paid to click websites are: http://www.bux.to/ http://www.kooplinks.com/ (don't know any more from the top of my head but you could always place an discussion on myLot or google for paid to click ;)). After about 2 months my scripts where ready and I had 30 euro's in my paypal account). I had also created my website to sell the scripts. So I could start as soon as I had my hosting. FINDING A NICE WEBSITE HOST Well I knew of this nice host called one.com. You could checkout http://www.one.com. I like this one because I have unlimited bandwith and because it's cheap ;). Be sure NOT to use a free one because you should definitly have a domain name (thats a www.whatyouwant.com account ;)). GETTING THE TRAFFIC Well this is the hardest part. How do you get traffic to your website. Well I myself posted the scripts on Ebay and sold some there. Also put a link to my website in the ad so people could check out what else I had available. After about 3 months I really started getting some traffic. Also I had build up some exchange credits on the paid to click sites I was on so I could put my link on there to ;). MORE I NEED MORE CASH COMING IN ;) When I was earning some money from the products I sold I also signed up with affiliate marketing sites like tradedoubler.com (http://www.tradedoubler.com). And put this products on my website. Just a few not to much ;). And put some google ads on my website. WELL THATS ABOUT IT Well thats it just a quick reference on how you can start your business online.
