How do you select discussions to respond ? Do you select the friend's discussions first ?Or prefer the top discussions of the day ? or prefer new discussions? what is your method?
(What I am doing is,give preference to those people who responded to my discussions. After that I select my friends.)What about you ?

Usually, I check out my friend's lists and try to respond to some of them.

I do select the topics that I want to respond to, only the stuff that interest me.

I don't really have any set order as to which discussions I take part in. I'll usually just pick a discussion from the main page, add my opinion and then take a look through the similar discussions block at the bottom of the page.

my first priority in responding discussion is the discussion that made by my friends. i love to participate in their discussion and it also make me know more about them. however, friends are the person who seem oftenly come in your discussion too.
after responding some interesting discussion which my friend's made usually i would go to new discussion or new user discussion. i would see if there is interesting discussion to be response or not. after all, each discussion section in mylot always seen by me everytime i log into mylot

I would usually start checking out the new discussions. If I find something that interests me, I would read it over, and make my response. Then I would go through my list of interests. Just the same, I would check out for a discussion that I would like to respond to. When I've gone through all these, then I would go back to recent discussions, and my list of friends. Even when there are already other responses, I would try to respond to any of those that catch my interest.

First of course friend's discussion. It would be much easy for me to search for friend's discussion. And then top discussion and discussion with no response. I always want to know what today's top discussion and see if i can join in. And then discussion with no response also one of my favorite, because you get the chance to be the first to respond...:) I'm eager being the first, the first to giving my thought. And then responded to my own discussion.

first, i just open the discussion and read the topic, then i will think,"can i answer to this this discussion with a good grammar and a good humor?", then if my answer would be "no, i can't" then i will not answer it and i will just pick another discussion to answer, until my answer would be "yes, i can relate to this topic.". hehehe

I always look at my friends discussions first, and I respond to those that interest me. Then I check discussions from my interests, and usually find several I want to respond to. I also look at new user discussions and discussions with no responses, top discussions and hot topics. In other words I look at everything in the discussions list to make sure I don't miss out on a good topic of interest.
Discussions I respond to most are those which ask for help or advice or seek personal opinions. I also like to read personal experiences and news stories.
I think one of the best things about myLot is the range and variety of topics. I prefer to respond to original or unusual topics, rather than the usual ones that show up daily.

I go through the icons which display the new discussions started and if the area interests me i begin there, else i go to discussions my friends started and soon after i go for todays hot topics and discussions from my interests. If i still have the energy for more then it could be anything which just interests me.

It depends on what mood I'm in. Sometimes I feel like talking about politics or gay rights or some other highly provocative topic. Sometimes I feel like just being silly and answering questions that have no real baring on anything.

The discussions I respond to on a regular basis come from the MyLot Digest e-mails. To tell you the truth, I'm about a month behind on those! I like to save them, though. They're always good discussions in the e-mails that I like to respond to rather than having to search for my own. If I'm caught up on all of my e-mailed discussions, I usually go to 'Today's Top Discussions.' Sometimes I'll get fancy and choose the 'Discussions with No Responses.' I like those because I'm curious as to why there are no responses to these discussions yet. I also like the 'New User Discussions' because I like to help new myLot members find their way around and help them out in general. Probably the last thing I look at is my friends' discussions just because there are so many! Of course, I love looking at certain of my friends' discussions because some of my friends seem to always have interesting ones. I don't use the activity feed to find discussions too much. That's probably the last resource I use. However, all of these places to find discussions are really good resources! Great discussion.
