ok.. this is one topic you ask anyone and they will have a frowned eyebrow and a good think. well quitting smoking is not easy cause it's a habit.. and specially because it's addictive.. but if you do what i did.. you definitely would quit smoking and u wouldn't even know you quit.. ok here's how to do it.. Step 1: make up your mind :).. Step 2: tell yourself that you won't smoke as many cigs Note: Stop buying ciggy's now. If you need one ask a fren for a spare one. Step 3: keep in mind that people who don't smoke dislike the smell that you emit from your mouth. Step 4: Tell yourself that you won't smoke just after you wake up.. Try doing this for few days.. i mean.. don't actually smoke while you are saying it. Slowly you will notice that you will be fine not smoking just after waking up. Step 5: Then time yourself. Tell yourself that you won't smoke say before 10am.. that is if you are already up before that.. haha.. Try and make it a habit of not smoking before 10am.. U will soon notice that you have lost the craving to smoke before 10am and that if you do.. u will end up with a foul smell on your mouth during that time.. Step 6: Then try and push the time to 12noon.. Do it for as long as you want.. Just remember.. there is no need to force yourself not to smoke.. Sometimes treat yourself to a ciggy if you think u haven't smoke for like half the day.. Note: Don't join your fren out the pub for a brief conversation when they are out smoking.. it will only make you want to smoke.. Step 7: Now try pushing the time to say 3-4pm .. Step 8: Try not to smoke near a group of people like a public are.. eg bus park. One more thing to remember.. When you don't buy ciggys and u keep pinchin from your mates... it will make you feel bad always takin and not giving.. slowly u will ask less and less.. :) Ok.. This has worked for me .. as now i don't smoke.. if i do.. i do it like once a week.. for me it took about 6 months to quit the way i did.. and get to this stage.. Let your will power win..

I tryed many times but I could't quit. I know that people say many things about quit smoking and sound so easy but isn't. I have done all you can imagine and think that people can't judge who smoking because each one differ from each one. If one thing work for someone not obligatory work for me. I want to quit but not to be judged like many people do this days.

ok.. i hear you mate.. and i fully understand what you are tryin to say.. but trust me mate.. i used to smoke heaps.. but for me, i found a way.. and out of all those things i say above in my post.. all i am trying to tell people is that, if you are willing and determined than you can do it.. people have climbed mt.everest, reached the moon.. mate .. i don't have to tell you .. THe thing is.. smoking is a habit. When u first started smoking.. u obviously didn't smoke like a pack a day.. First you smoked a few cigs and then slowly increased your dose and now you smoke like a chimney.. Now all i am tellin you is.. just like u made a habit of smokin.. Now you have to make a habit of not smokin.. I don't want you to go cold turkey mate.. You can choose to take the medicine.. if you do not want medicine then.. i am pretty sure that if you do as i have mentioned in my post then u will definately find that you are slowly quitting.. You know.. after i quit smoking.. i have started to collect the money that i normally would spend on smoking.. NOt long before i knew.. i had enough money to buy me a PS3.. Now i am hooked on PS3... :) ..Hoping the best for you mate... You have already tried so many times.. Give it another shot.. If you really want to quit that is..

Mind over matter. An interesting thought. I may think about this. I quit for 7 years then started up again and I keep telling myself it is time to quit and that I did it once I can do it again. I do know I felt better not smoking and kick myself often for starting again. I tried last year around this time and the hardest part was that my partner wouldn't quit so it was hard not to smoke when it was all around me. I may try the time thing though that just might work for me. Thanks for the idea!

mate.. i think u shouldn't let recreational smoking get the better of you.. I think u should quit smoking because u want to and because you have to.. If you quit smoking because you want to then u are lookin after yourself. Being responsible starts by lookin after yourself. If you are concerned and responsible about your health then you automatically channel this attitude to other aspects in your life. And i say "you have to" because people who don't smoke are not comfortable with the smoke that we blow out.. not because it's just smoke.. even vehicles emmit smoke.. it's because it's pungent smoke.. and i know you must have realised that after you stopped smoking you must have felt that smell.. You should encourage your partner to quit, not straight away.. but slowly and steadily. U know.. when you gotta lose to win.. like in love.. haha.. specially if you are man.. ahhahah.. u gotta lose to win in smokin too.. :)

Can I ask why you started smoking after 7 years of being smoke free? I am curious because I have been quit for 3 years and could in no way imagine going back to it. I had quit earlier in life for 10 months and went back to smoking because I was going through a break up. Not a good reason to start smoking again but we all know how that goes. I was just wondering why you would go back after 7 years of being smoke free?

to me leaveing smoking is not so difficult u just have to be determinent and confidet to urself. It also require sincerity and u have to be sincere to urself also. and no medicine is needed to lkeave it .
