having a uniform or having none??meaning you can wear casual clothes or anything you may wish you wear?!! on this topic consider your self also as a professional and not just a student, what would you think is the best for everybody?? consider also the agony of being so conscious everymorning if the set of clothes you are wearing is socialy acceptable, meaning if it is IN-to-THE-fashion. but uniform also hinders student's way of expressing himslef by the means of clothes. the anguish brought by dress codes is that students has to wear certain and definite sytle, color, lenght and even the clothes' material... choose only one.. and choose what you really think is good... happy posting

one thing i observe about wearing or not wearing a uniform is that. when you are not wearing you get conscious to everyone, it affects your mood the whole day. but at the same time you can boast your fashion style. on the other hand, wearing a uniform is much cheaper, you don't need to buy new clothes every week. and still you will look formal especially if your uniforms are something that looks professional. however in our university our uniform is like a highschool student where in fact we are already in college. that is why i hate wearing that uniform, but at the same time like to wear it because of the advantages like: SP, being prioritize and so on. but in our school we have this wash day so we can wear casuals once a week so its ok.

hmp.. "wash day" are you from the philippines? cause most of the college schools or universities at the phil has wash day.. when i was highschool i do not like wearing uniform but when i reach college where i do not have to wear a uniform.. i get tired of thinking everyday what set of clothes i should wear each day.. hay.. but when you think of what is better and best to everybody.. having a uniform (uniform that is good looking and can be proud of) should be required to wear.. thanks to the response.. :D

As a professional, i have to wear a uniform for my own safety as i work in a prison. Now if i was to wear my chains and black clothes outside i would probably get the wrong type of attention blessed be

I would saw casual clothes are much better then a uniform. I have always hated working some where that made you wear a shirt or even a vest with their name on it. To me a name tag is just as good.

When i'm a student, i wish that i can dress casually and dress wat i like.. However now in the working world, i would wish a can have a standard set of uniform, rather than worrying everyday if my clothes matches or not..

Well, student or not, i prefered uniform. Maybe i am too lazy to match my clothings in the closet. Or maybe i am just do not want to show off my dressing sense. I feel that being in the same uniform, i will feel equal with other people. All of us wear the same clothing to whether on work or school. There is no difference between us. I will not afraid that one day i might wear the same design clothing with a stranger and both of us will feel awkward or funny when seeing each other wear the same the design. However, being to wear uniform, we will have the mindset that all of us wearing the same design so there is nothing to awkward and funny about. It will be less stressful too...haha..

There is nothing wrong with wearing an uniform if it represents a good school. You don't go to school to express yourself through your clothing. You go to school to learn. It is actually a good thing because it makes everyone equal on the school ground. It prevents a few "Diva" with money to come to school in high fashion clothes and make the rest look like losers. If you feel the need to express yourself... do it out of school. Wearing an uniform at work comes with the job. You have the freedom to express yourself... by not taking the job if you don't want to wear the uniform.

well, if its for school i prefer uniform because i would not have to think on what to wear the next day as i will be wearing the same thing. If its for work, i prefer wearing casual clothes so that people won't know where i work or what i work as.
