I'm really really interested in photography. Everywhere I look I see an oppurtunity for a great shot. Thing is, I never had a good camera. I just recently begged my dad for one and he bought me an Olympus FE-320, which is just your average digital camera, at least to me it is. I wanted a digital SLR camera but we couldnt afford one. Also, Im not really good in using Photoshop. Any ideas on how I can do more for my interest in this expensive but awesome hobby?

I am a lot like you! I started out with a simple yet affordable point and shoot digital camera, but I really wanted a DSLR. Then I got involved in selling stock photography. I would take photos with my camera, and sell them on the internet! Within a few months, I earned enough to buy a DSLR. Since then I've been using my paychecks to buy lenses, filters, flashes, and other camera equipment! Photography is so expensive, and I wouldn't be able to afford it without selling stock! If you're interested in selling stock, I have more information and resources on my website: http://www.lindsaydean.com/sellstock.html

Wow wonderful information on selling stock of photographs! But I know you have some really nice work! I book marked your website and hopefully I could do what you do later. Just wondering if they accept international members, I have to go through your links in great details!

Driving for the Basket - This was taken with a Canon Rebel Xt with a Tamron Lens f2.8 28-70 Zoom using available light. This player took the ball from one end of the court to the other where he set up the play and scored.
The Olympus FE-320 is not the camera I would have chosen, but then I am a Canon person. What is more important than the camera is your eye for the photo. Are you able to capture the feeling behind the photo? Does the photo express what you want it to express?

I don't think all photographers started their hobby or interest by having expensive cameras. I started mine using a film camera belonging to my father. Then I bought my first film camera that came with a zooming function. A good photographer can capture any pictures with an average camera. The skill is important. You can still learn how to retouch the pictures using simple graphic software and not Photoshop. Ask around and you can be rest assured that the best photographer in the world started his/her hobby with just an inexpensive, hand-me-down camera. What makes his/her images worth so much is the experience, creativities, and skils!
