Your written English is very good. Can you practice outloud as you are writing? And no, I don't have any proficiency in another language. I'm trying to learn Spanish right now, but it's going very slowly.

Well it does need practice pal, especially when English is not your mother tongue. But it's not impossible to achieve a certain level of competence, and of course, confidence in one's ability to speak the language. Since there are a lot of Hispanics living in our district, there are times when I do attempt to speak with them in various instances. Most of these happen when I had to pay the cashier or buy something (they usually work as cashiers). There I would try to speak a little Spanish, but warn them first "mi Espanol...muy terrible" or "Hablo un poco Espanol". So I guess, when I find it hard already to express my thoughts into Spanish, I would revert back to English and would not feel awkward about it. Well, there are little steps you can make to improve your English. You can perhaps try frequently watching English or American TV series and find out that one day, you are gonna be able to speak like them, I mean, improve yours significantly.

yes i do chat with foreigners through icq at a time when icq is a quite popular instant communication tool. my written english is much poorer tnan now at that time.but i found myself improving day by day. thus candayandhoney,don't be frustrated and afraid that you can't do well.just do it and you'll benefit from it.take me as an example,i spend several hours on mylot responding and commenting every day.there's already a big progress in my english but still a long way ahead of me.i'll keep up.best wishes for both of us.
