why do women buy the small purses?

I have wondered that too. My billfold would not fit into some of those tiny purses. I am an overweight woman who would love silly with a ittybitty purse. I wear a shoulderbag big enough to hold all the things that I need when away from home. Most of my clothes do not have pockets in them thus a nice big shoulderbag that holds all my belongings.

In your pants pocket? lol okay so all jokes aside. I think small purses look so neat and cute . But the really small ones as far as I see are just for those special occasions like weddings, etc.A purse that fits only your keys sounds extremely small though!

A purse is an accessory like a belt or a piece of jewelry. Sometimes, it's because that's the only purse that fits with a certain outfit. My question is 3 cell phones?

Sometimes a large purse just will not go with an outfit. I usually carry a very large purse, but with black tie or dress up events, a large purse just doesn't feel appropriate. I adore the Judith Leiber style crystal purses, but really can only fit keys, a lipstick, and a tiny amount of $$$ in one. I think if the purse overwhelms the outfit, it's time to scale back.
