When your sick

Hi sweetie! When I am sick I want to be left alone! I am too grumpy and grouchy for company, I don't want sympathy or anything, just let me be! I just stay in bed with Toby, Toby is the only one I need and he doesn't answer back or nag, just keeps me warm. I am too independent even when sick. I hate being fussed over, I prefer to hide away.

I would like to have attention, but where can I can that?? So not only do I not get attention, but unless I am dying, I am still working away cleaning and cooking..

When I am sick I like to be left alone, to get over whatever it is I have, and I don't like to be fussed over. However, I like knowing that my hubby is there if I do need him!

Attention?? what's that? Just kidding, actually I seem to get sick when I would be home alone anyway, cause he's at work. However, he does call at least a couple of times during the day to see how I am feeling. There was one time that that really bugged me lol, I had been stung by ground wasps ( well over 100 times) while I was at work. I managed to drive myself home (45 min drive) which normally isn't a long drive but was that day, my arms were in pain. Well I called him on the way home and told him what happened, after I got home, he called me every 5 minutes, to check and make sure I was not going into anaphylactic shock......and I quote 'I've never had the chance to check on someone for this, so just putting my training into effect' geeee thanks, I'm fine, stop calling, I took benydryl and just wanted to sleep! lol

i like the attention though, but i like to be alone when i'm sick because i feel like i'm recovering fast when nobody bothers me when i'm sick. :-)

If i have been feeling not too good..i like to be on my own.. i like to just cosy up on the sofa...an rest alone ..until im feeling better....

I really don't like attention when I am sick. Would rather be here alone and just sleep it off. I do ask my husband to bring home dinner or order a pizza if I am sick with a cold or something he may catch. I just veg in another bedroom and keep away from him until I'm better. I can relate to about 5 minutes worth of attention...lol

When I am sick, yes I do need attention, but limited attention. I love others to make me good cup of tea, but let me sleep when I need... HUGS

Terry, I have always preferred to be alone with my misery, but that is not to say that it is nice to be checked on one in awhile and asked if you need something. I just do not like to talk if I am not feeling well. But you know if you have kids grand kids or a spouse this is next to impossible.

I prefer to be left alone, I don't want anyone fussing over me, that bothers me. I'd rather just care for myself alone.

When I am sick and not feeling well I want people to leave me alone. My mom is the same way. My son and my dad though want to be babied. My son like to try and be really nice to me when I am sick because he likes it, but I just want him to go away.

hey...how are you friend? nope I don't like to much attention when I got sick.I feel like to be alone if I'm not feeling good or sick.I like a break sometimes I didn't tell to anyone that way didn't feel sorry for you and worried.

i prefer to stay alone when i got a pain, because i like quiet environment.

I like to stay to myself. With it being very quiet if possible. I have three kids and sometimes this may not be quite possible.

I prefer to be alone as my emotions are bad when I am not well I didn't even come on here last Night because I was not well I have a sore throat and a runny Nose I am glad that it has not gone to my Chest or I would have ended up on the Steroids and that again, but I still feel down and tired with it

Well I like someone to be close enough to come quickly if I need them or want a drink or heat up my heat packs but the rest of the time I like to be left in peace! Very selfish when I am sick, aren't I ? xxx

Well I live alone anyway now so if I want to sulk and be miserable can do it in the privacy of my place....LOL..actually I prefer to keep active even when I do feel lousy...if I just sit like a mope I tend to feel sorry for myself and make myself feel worse. One thing that is keeping me quite busy is my spring cleaning thing and am doing that even when I don't feel that great. I guess my need to be active when sick is from years and years of not being allowed to be sick...Really. When my mother was alive she actually got annoyed at me if I dared to be sick or injured like I wasn't supposed to. My mother on the other hand relished being sick...a real drama queen who wanted attention even if she got a hang nail...sheesh

I like to get attention when I am sick. I am a BIG baby! I remember once I was in my first year of college. I woke up in the middle of the night throwing up. I took a shower, went to the local ER to get some medicine, and then I went straight to my mommy where she could take care of me!!! I did not want to be alone. I wanted my mommy. and I am STILL that way.

No, I want to be left alone when I am sick. Especially if I have a headache, which I always seem to get when I am under the weather. I don't want pitty or someone to wait on me, I just want to sleep and be left alone. So when I am sick my husband doesn't bother me, or used to leave me alone, as we are no longer living together. When he was sick he wanted to be waited on hand and foot and I used to do it, get him everything he wanted, but no more.

Certainly.Everyone wish to be taken care of by others. When I fall in ill,I would miss my father & mother very much. That time ,I always want to go home as soon as quickly. So,we should pay more attantion to the ills around us.
