How many people are letting their children trick or treat?

We are going to be trick or treating in the neighborhood tonight. We live in a safe neighborhood and have wonderful neighbors. However, there has been a lot of discussions about parents not letting their kids trick or treat this year. Just wondering who out there will be or won't be trick or treating?

I don't have kids, but I don't know what I would do (or will do in the future) It's hard to say because even if you trust a lot of your neighbors, you don't really know everyone on your block. I think I'd prefer finding a local party, or doing the "mall trick or treat" thing to take my kids to.

Yeah, that is exactly what we were thinking of doing next year! They have a big thing at the mall here, and its something we've not done yet. Thanks for the reply !

Yep I just think it would be easier, more safe, and inside so your kids don't have to cover up their costume with coats! Plus the mall might have other events going on besides trick or treat. Hope you have fun :)

I have no children, but even if I did... No, I would not, as personally, we do not Celebrate Halloween here for Religious beliefts. Our church has a Harvest party for them every yr. and hands out Candy, and has games for them, etc.

I completely understand that. We are actually taking our daughter to a church fair in an hour, and then to trick or treat!

I let my kids go trick or treating. We live in a pretty safe older neighborhood, so I don't have to worry about someone pulling something. You do have to be ever so careful nowadays.
