I just heard of this new law in Illinois for parents who owe back child support, the state says they have collected over $130,000 in the past 6 months since it started the program. If your back on child support you can't renew or get a fishing or hunting licence, which might be a good idea. Not all parents hunt or fish or some would just not renew or get one if they know they owe back support.Does your state have afamiliar program and do you think it will work?

That's so cool! So, let me get this straight. If the daddy wants to go hunting or fishing and wants a license he has to pony up with the back child support? That's a brilliant idea. That just shows that these men had the money to pay the whole time and were just holding out to hurt their ex. Don't those stupid men know that the only ones they are hurting is the children?

WOW! What a great idea! I hope some other states adopt this as well.

I think this is great. Won't help in my case though cause my ex lives in MO and doesn't hunt or fish. My case is getting ridiculous you can see a few details in another discusion i started.

I don't know if we have anything like that but it is an interesting law. I'm sure it'll work in some areas where lots of people hunt and fish but if it were a law where I am, I'm just not sure it would make a difference.

As far as I know Alabama don't have anything like that, but in my opinion they shouldnt be able to get a tag for their car, drivers license,or any type of hunting or fishing license if they owe back support. As far as the hunting and fishing license goes either they won't hunt and fish or they will risk doing it without a license, as well as drivers license and a car tag they will drive any way. I think they should ALL be locked up in jail on work release of course and their entire paycheck sent to their kids unitl back support is paid in full, that is the only sure fire way to make sure it gets caught up in my opinion.
