xbox live problem

okay, so i have a xbox 360, and everytime i try to go through the network testing stuff for live, one of them always fail. every once in a while, IP fails, and then most of the time DNS fails, and the rest of the time, the next thing fails. ive tried pretty much everything the xbox people have suggested, and nothing works. so does anyone here hav any ideas?
