I am soon going to have braces put on my teeth, what was your experience like? I will be getting the metal ones, and do they hurt???

The only time I experience pain was the first two nights wherein I could feel them moving.
It was my two sleepless nights. Afterwards, I haven't feel any terrible pain. I am on the finishing touches right now. Don't worry there is pain but it is manageable.

Would anyone know what the average cost of getting braces is!?

my experience with them wasn't good. the wire that they put on the braces came a loose. it was sticking the inside of my jaw. its hard to eat the foods you want without it getting stuck in your teeth. they are very uncomfortable.
i have heard there are braces you can get, but they aren't metal.

I got them put on yesterday and they were fine untill today when I have been trying to eat the pressure kills, but at least I know their moving..... The wire at the back digs into my cheeks especially on the right bottom side just make sure they cut it sort so it doesn't dig in as much..... They are annoying but I geuss the end Result is worth it as they say No Pain No Gain.... Just take lots of Panadine.........
