network problem

two days back i configured dhcp on a organization
after that i instaled a network printer.
actually i need to instal the network printer with a static ip address,,but the problem is when ever i m restarting the printer its pick a new ip adress from DHCP server, how could i solve this problem and where is the problem?

I've seen a few HP printers that do this on occassion. You could always try flashing the firmware of the printer to see if it solves the settings for you (I assume you're manually setting the IP address from the printer console). If this doesn't work, you could always set up a reservation on your DHCP server to dish out a specific IP address based on the MAC address of the printer.

hey brother i was face the same problem before
confidently i can say this is the problem with ur networkcard,that not resolving the ipaddress properly
every time u start the printer the ram of network card is restarted so just contact to ur printer supplier and change it
