I don't remember when babies do what

I just had a 2nd kid and I've forgotten a lot of the things that happen at what age. With our first son, I pulled out the books to find out every month. With Ari, I am just going with the flow. Regardless, it's still a lot of fun.

Unless you don't have anything to measure development by (like a first child), I agree the books aren't as important the second time around. However, I think it is fun to know what to expect and important to know if something isn't happening that should be happening. Hopefully parents are more relaxed with the second child and don't obsess about being on the same developmental level as their friend's children.
