Your way of cooking

My family loves food and we love cooking too. We are gifted with a strong sense of taste and that helps us a lot in cooking. By just tasting a certain dish, we can already tell what is in it. But because of certain differences in taste and culture of different countries, a certain dish may not taste the same always. Like for example, Spaghetti. I think spaghetti is from Italy and Italian spaghetti tastes more like a tomato, a little sour, cheese and herby. Here in the Philippines, Spaghetti is prepared a little bit sweet because Filipinos like sweet sauces. In your cooking, do you follow the original recipe or you make adjustments and adaptations to suit your taste?

I also hate sour spaghetti. I want it a bit sweet and cheesy. As for me, I am going to follow my taste buds or my family's taste buds. But if we have guests who belong to a certain culture, that may be the time I adjust my way of cooking to suit their taste.

Yup, I like the way we do our spaghetti. My husband loves spaghetti too. I always prepare it for snacks. When having guests who belong to certain culture, I think I'll get the service of a more competent cook to do the cooking for them. Thanks for dropping by.

Oh yes, we Filipinos love spaghetti a little sweet. =) I, too, consult recipe books in cooking, but I do adjust it according to my taste. But often times, if it's a relatively new dish, I'd follow what's written in the recipe for the first try and adjust it the next time.

Yes, I do that too. If I'll be cooking a new dish, I want to do exactly as per recipe instructions to see how that really tastes. After that, I make my own adjustments depending on my taste and that of the family's comments.
