Aristotle argued that “man is by nature a polital animal". in his age, politcal life was very important in every citizen's life. but today we can see that many citizens just don't care about politice at all. and what do you think of this inclussion? do you against or for it?

Aristotle refers to being political as to the need of being ruled by someone or to rule. I don't see any counter-arguments to that, even nowadays. He was totally right: we need someone to rule us, it make us lives better. The Maslow piramid of human needs might look unnatural at a glance, but it shows that safety and shelter is one of the most basic needs, so Aristotle was quite right. ~ ...in my opinion... feel free to express yours ~

I'm betting that in the days of Aristotle the attitude of the people was much different than it is now. Safety and shelter is a basic need and people would have elected their leader according to the humane attitudes that person held and was known to deliver.

yes yes ..most people read man as a social animal..our friend said 'political'..even it can also be true because everybody is disliking politics but not coming forward to the clean them. Politics never involve best of the brains in terms of academic qualifications..but they rule the best of the best..what do you say..

i hate politics! it is boring and puts me to sleep. i am very anti-politics, and consider myself independent because i never cared for republicans or democrats. which ever side it is, it is filled with greed and corruptions, of lonely people who need a club to rant of their stupid views together against the other group that they oppose. gives people with no life something to do and argue about to keep busy of their pathetic time and lives.

I'm sure that you have beliefs, and those beliefs would align some with republicans and some with democrats, making you political without even realizing it. I agree, there is alot of corruption in politics, but everybody "politics" for the things that they believe in.

Well, i think it doesnt matter on how citizens bother about politics. It is more about who is taking care of their daily life. People do not care abou politics is that they do not trust the person anymore. They will think that " Enough of their talks as they will not make it happen. What they do is just talking and talking and talking. When it is time to act, they didn do anything." so they do not think it is necessary for them to care and nothing is done. People want to see things done, people want to see what the person said and he act on his words. They want immediate action just like our boss want us to give result more than the process we have done. I, myself, fortunately, live in a safe and sound country where government really cares for us but also organise our life. So somehow, i just trusted the government and do not care about the politics. For the others, maybe what they are thinking is the same as i mention on my 2nd and 3rd paragraph.

Times change, he said that 2300-2400 years ago, today there is so much around us that politics is left for those who do it as a job. At his time people were different and more simple, he said what he thought about the people he knew and spent most of his time with - people of high social rank - aristocrats, most of greek men worried about bringing home a loaf of bread. He is a great man and we should all know some of what he has left.
