If I had to chose a place I've already been to and would like to go back to again, I think I would chose Arizona to visit the Grand Canyon again. I went with my parents when I was a teenager, but I would love to take my 13 year old son & my husband there to see it. When I went with my parents we flew over the Grand Canyon in a propeller plane that only had about 12 seats or so. The ride was very bumpy and up & down due to the heat in the canyon. I tossed my cookies just upon landing (LoL). It definitely wasn't funny at the time though... I was sooo embarrassed, especially since we were flying with other people that my father worked with! I don't think anybody minded though because my parents said that many of them looked like they were about to do the same. Well, I guess that isn't a very good description about why I want to return to Arizona now is it?! LoL I just loved the whole area. The architecture of the houses around the town were stayed in were gorgeous. The people were really nice too. Actually I have been to Scottsdale, Arizona twice as a teenager with my parents. They loved it there too. We almost moved there at one point too, but ended up moving back to Michigan instead. I love Michigan but that move was a big mistake! Long story, so I won't go into that. Anyway, beaches are great too! What beach did you go to lonely_f16?

I live in the UK and in my 20's I lived in Sydney, Australia for almost 2 years. a place I felt at home almost immediatly. So if I had the chance to go back it would be Coogee Bay, Sydney :)

I agree with you that Coogee Bay is a beautiful place. I fell in love with Sydney when I flew over the opera house and the harbor bridge. Then I went and stayed in a backpackers hostel in Coogee Bay. I have some fond memories of the place too.

I worked in a backpackers hostel in Coogee Bay called Aaronbrook lodge , on Brook Street - one street back from the sea front next to the RSL and the Oval. I have no idea if it is still there.

Yes, I can think of one gorgeous beach that I would like to go back to. I was in Samoa, on my way back from New Zealand. I got a bus to a place where I got a boat across to a beautiful island and I stayed there for a few days. When I got back to the gorgeous beach my journey continued, however I loved seeing it when on the second Sunday I was there I did a day trip that stopped for a while on that stunning looking palm fringed beach. Wow! I loved seeing the white sand, gently waving palm trees and the off shore islands. I would adore it if I could go back to that special beach.

There are many places I have been that I would like to go back to. But my number one pick I think would have to be Germany. I was only 16 when I was there (married to a GI), but had fun living off post and being like a native. I shopped the local stores and even learned to ride the bus so I could go to the swimming pool. It was great. We went to see castles and even saw a real may pole celebration.
