Do you believe you can find love on the internet

"You've got mail" is one of my favorite films. It's basically about two people who are business rivals but are also chatmates on the web. When chatting, they dont know each other's real identity. Of course, they talk about anything under the sun and manage to make ordinary things sound extraordinary. They eventually fall in love and live happily ever after. =)
My question is this: do you honestly believe that you will be able to find true love in,say, a chatroom? If you thinks the odds are one in a million. would you risk wasting your time with a bunch of wrong persons to find that single, right one? =)

I'm a believer! Happily so as I met my other half in the chatroom and I think that provided more time to really get to know each other without being distracted by physical attributes or looks. It also seems as though our open communication over the internet extended into everday life when we finally met after about 2 years. I guess I can truly say I believe you can find love on the internet. This might not be for everyone one though as it might depend on personality etc.

This is such a touchy subject for some. Its hard to answer because some people are more open to finding "love" anywhere.
Myself Personally no , And bear in mind this is my own personal opinon but i personally dont' think it's safe or a good ideal because there's just too many complications that can arise out of it
You never know if the people that you are talking to are what they proport themselves to be.

i agree with you. there's really a lot of risk involved because a person has no way of verifying whether what the other person is saying is true.=)

oh really? That's great! are both of you from the same area? because i imagine that its going to be difficult if you live several miles apart, say both of you are from diff countries.

i have myself seen this INTERNET love thing change into reality ......
and u wudn't believe that i knew both the persons ......
actually both of them never talked much in college .... but got hold of each other online .... then the chatting took to reality meeting and things kicked off .....
but personally i will not waste my time trying to fine TRUE LOVE online .....the idea is not good at all cuz there are so many posers over here ..... 1 could end up getting hurt very BAD!

sure i believe two people can fall in love when they met in chatroom.
Cause it happened on my friend. Now they already married. They were chatmates on the web. If you are convince on someone, you probably could fall in love, even you met him/her on the chatroom.

im sure you're right. although there would be a lot of risk-taking involved when getting into online relationships
