I have 1 strawberry plant I bought last year. It didn't do too much. This year I would like to have LOTS of strawberries. My grandmother use to grow potted strawberries all the time. Whats the trick?

I have tried and tried and trying again this year.. I know it takes a lot of work, by removing older plants form the younger plants to covering them during the winter..I am going to keep a close eye on this one, because like I said, I have tried over and over again, and trying once again..

We did not have a hard winter at all. My plants took zero damage. So we will see what happens. I am going to buy some potting soil in a few weeks and replant, see if that helps any.

Still, if anyone has tip or tricks to getting the best out of your strawberries, I would like to know them too..

I love strawberries. I have never planted any. My yard is not big enough to plant a whole lot on. We only live on a 1/4 acre and my house takes up alot of that room. We also have a garage and a swimming pool also and two large decks. The only thing we had room to plant was three tomato plants, leaf lettuce and green onions. I would love to plant more stuff though. I would love to grow potted strawberries also and would love to know how to do it too.
