as a libertarian, i believe in locke, adam smith and the Jefferson philosophy...
the democrats of course, disagree with this philosophy, and although i think they are insane, and i dont agree to disagree as i dont think any democrat or left winger/liberal has ever taken a course on economics, its better than what the republicans do.
republicans take libertarian philosophy and distort it in such a way that people agree with it... but their actions speak louder then their words.
republicans have expanded the powers of the state more than the democrats, even tho they say they will do otherwise... look at Reagen and the bushes...
the bush gov has been way bigger than the Clinton gov..

Well, I'm a registered Democrat but I certainly have some views that border on the Conservative. The thing is that all my views are my views, I formed them and I'm entitled to them. What bothers me about politics and political debate these days is that so many get their "facts" from sources that have already put a twist on the truth. Many will not even acknowledge a fact that doesn't agree with their philosophy. It is refreshing that you at least are able to dislike other points of view to varying degrees and form your own opinions. Probably I wouldn't agree with you on much but I can respect that you have formed your own opinions. I have too.
