I'm an army wife, too! We are going through a deployment now, but not for too much longer. My husband and I actually just got married right before he left, and I'm living at home until he gets back, so I am still really new to the military thing and a little nervous about getting used to the lifestyle. It's nice to meet another military wife! :)

Congratulations on getting married! There sure is quite a learning curve when marrying into the military! I'm so glad to hear you've been able to have your husband there most of the year...I think my hubby and I should have lots of time together pretty soon. :)

i myself am an army wife and there are definitely pros and cons to being one. my husband is currently deployed, as he was also deployed when we first got married four years ago. it's been a struggle at times, but i have stuck by him and with him through it all because i love him so much. the first time he came home from iraq he couldn't deal with it good at all and alot of it was taken out on me. we seperated and then got back together after two months because it took that for him to realize that i was his wife and not another soldier or an iraqi. he didn't talk alot unless it was to argue, but he has come a long way since then and has since found the lord. We are so much closer now this deployment than the last time and he's on his way home and i've never been more excited about it. i don't know if you husband has been deployed yet or not, but it's a very traumatic experience for them and when they are sent back out into the real world at home it's hard for thme to readjust so they either shut down and dont' talk or stay to themselves or they lash out. things will get better though, you have to have faith in that and believe in that or it will drive you nuts. good luck to you and if you ever need to talk i'm here. God bless
