Gavasker's opinion about the loss of Indian team in the second test match

Two days ago, I read on news paper that Sunil Gavasker criticised Indian cricket team for lossing against South Africa in the second test match. He said that India lost the match because of the Indian Premeire League (IPL) scheduled to start on April 18. He said the money offered in IPL has distracted the players and they fail to concentrate on their game. Do you agree with his opinion? I dont think he is absolutely correct.
