best answer for repeated miss calls

Some times we receive number of miss call from a unknow number. but if you call back and ask "who are you?" may be no answer, or answers in slang. If you become angry, they'll be happy and do it again. but they didn't call, just give miss calls
After some days again there are miss calls from that or another number.
Before i believe that no reply was the best answer for it. But now i should think of something else.
What can we do?

there are a number of automatic answering softwares(Advanced call manager).
Use one of them.
Tehy can answer the call on your cellphone within a split second.
The person givin the misscalls with no longer bother you after some calls, You can chooose which numbers you want to be automatically answered.
No idea for landline.

Infact if there are lots of missed calls or unwanted messages from a same number, it is better to notify the cyber crime police. If you just leave it as it is there is every chance that you become a victim of something unwanted. But that should be the last step. The first step to do is try to trace the address of the number and give a warning to that person who is doing it. Also inform your service provider about the repeated missed calls that you are receiving from one particular number and they will also monitor from their end.
