Having problems with coop lawyer that they want me and my brother out of the apt. Every week I get a letter about termination. I have a lawyer and he in the beginning suggest that I sell, and I said no, because i feel that real estate will go up in 3 yrs. Well I cannot go that route now and must sell. Mom past away nov. 2007 and willed her apt. and estate to me. I am trying to get the deed in my name, but that is taking a long time. The coop does not want me nor my brother and his wife living there. When I got the letter to terminate I called coop lawyer to explain to me, and said that he was told that people are living in the apt, and making noise. I told him that this was not true. At the coop lawyer's suggestion, I put in writing when I arrive in NY that I will notify the super so that he can notify the board of our presence. I will only be there to make the apt. presentable for selling puroses, but must first finish clearing out everything. It was also mentioned to me that the board is trying to take the apt. away from me, and I will not let that happen. In addition to all this, I was let go from my job in Nov. 1, 15 days before my mother died. Your thoughts are welcomed. thanks, lorraine
